FindYourStay (findyourstay.com) is a directory of independent stays and a website-building service for hosts. We are not a party to any booking. This policy explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Account details if you sign up as a host: email address, password (stored by our auth provider), and the property information you submit.
- Booking enquiries you send to a host: name, email, dates and the message you write. We relay that to the host. We do not process the stay payment.
- Payment details for host subscriptions are handled by Stripe. We do not store card numbers.
- Usage data via Google Analytics (pages viewed, approximate location, device). We use this to understand which pages help people and to improve the site.
- Host analytics events (listing impressions, site views, enquiries) so hosts can see how their listing is performing.
What we use it for
To run the directory, host accounts, booking-site previews, enquiry relay, subscription billing, and to keep the site secure. We do not sell personal data. We do not run third-party advertising networks on the site today.
Who we share it with
- Hosts, when a traveller sends them an enquiry or booking request (the host needs your contact details to reply).
- Stripe, for host plan payments.
- Resend, to send login codes and booking emails from hello@findyourstay.com.
- Supabase and Vercel, who host the database and the site.
- Google, for analytics and (where a host uses it) Places photos credited on the listing.
Cookies
Essential cookies keep you signed in. Google Analytics sets a measurement cookie. You can block analytics cookies in your browser; the site will still work.
How long we keep data
Host accounts and listings stay until you delete them or close the account. Enquiry and booking-request emails are kept so hosts can manage guest conversations. Analytics is retained according to Google Analytics defaults.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the data we hold on you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your host account. Email contact@findyourstay.com. If you are in the UK or EU you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
