Terms of use

Last updated 18 August 2026

By using findyourstay.com you agree to these terms. FindYourStay is a directory and a website-building service. We are not the provider of any stay, and we are not a party to any booking between a guest and a host.

1. What the service is

Travellers can browse independent stays and contact hosts. Hosts can list a property, pay a yearly listing fee, and optionally have a direct-booking website hosted for them. Guest-to-host payments go through the host's own Stripe or PayPal link, or off the platform entirely. FindYourStay never takes a cut of a stay.

2. Hosts are responsible for their listings

Hosts warrant that they have the right to list the property, that photos and descriptions are accurate, and that they comply with local short-term-let, tax and safety rules. We may remove a listing that appears unlawful, misleading, or that someone reports to us. Seeded directory entries sourced from OpenStreetMap are unclaimed placeholders that link to a venue's own site until a host claims them; they are not an endorsement.

3. Bookings and money

A booking is a contract between guest and host. Cancellations, refunds, deposits, house rules and complaints are between those two parties. Host subscription fees are billed by Stripe and are non-refundable for the period already paid, except where the law requires otherwise.

4. Acceptable use

Do not scrape the site, post fake listings, harvest emails, or use the enquiry forms to spam hosts. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service.

5. Intellectual property

Site design, copy and software belong to FindYourStay. Listing photos belong to the host or their licensors. OpenStreetMap data is © OpenStreetMap contributors. Google-sourced photos are credited on the listing.

6. Liability

The directory is provided as is. We do not verify every listing, and we do not guarantee availability, price, or the quality of a stay. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for disputes, losses or injuries arising from a stay or from a host's website. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

7. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If a part is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
